Currently I am in Providence, Rhode Island. I will be in Southern California in the near future!
How long have you been working for Simplecast?
A little less than two months
What drew you to podcasting?
Initially, I fell in love with podcasts many years ago when I got rid of cable tv and was looking for new ways to take in information. I was drawn to the creativity behind podcasts and enjoy solely listening to a story instead of staring at a screen. Podcasts are amazing in that they allow you to disconnect, while also being connected at the same time. I also love the community that podcasts can build with their loyal listeners!
What's your favorite thing to help customers with?
Issue resolution has always been something I have enjoyed. I love being able to quickly resolve a problem for a customer because that allows you to build that foundation and trust right from the get-go.
What's one tip you wish you could give all podcasters?
Talk further away from the microphone than you think you should. :)
What resource has been the most helpful to you as someone in the podcasting industry?
Podnews has been a super helpful resource that allows me to better keep a pulse on the industry.
What's your favorite podcast that you're listening to?
I can’t pick just one and am always looking for new suggestions! I listen to The Daily and Up First pretty regularly. On heavy rotation I listen to: The Cut, Crime Junkies, Chasing Excellence, Shots of Science Vs and Maintenance Phase.
What are you most excited to see in the podcasting world in the next year?
I think I am most excited to see how this industry is going to evolve and grow even more. It is an amazing time to be in the podcast industry and I cannot wait to see what creators are going to do in this space. The podcasting universe seems to be pretty limitless right now, it's really incredible to see.
What was the last song that got stuck in your head?
Heat Waves by Glass Animals. I’ve actually been listening to this song on repeat for months now.
Where's your next vacation spot?
